Vaporesso XROS Replacement Pods — The Complete SA Guide

At R75 per pod, these are the best-value authentic XROS pods available in South Africa with same-day dispatch. Every pod uses Vaporesso's COREX mesh coil technology and SSS quadruple leak-resistant design. This page covers everything you need: which resistance to choose, what COREX and SSS actually do, how to fill correctly, and which e-liquid pairs best with your setup.

Compatible Devices — Every XROS Device Ever Made

All pods on this listing are universally compatible across the entire XROS family. If your device has "XROS" in the name, these pods fit it:

Device Compatible Notes
XROS (original) ✓ Yes Use 2ml pods
XROS 2 ✓ Yes Use 2ml or 3ml pods
XROS 3 ✓ Yes Use 2ml or 3ml pods
XROS 3 Mini ✓ Yes Use 2ml pods
XROS 3 Nano ✓ Yes Use 2ml pods
XROS 4 ✓ Yes Use 2ml or 3ml pods
XROS 4 Mini ✓ Yes Use 2ml pods
XROS 4 Nano ✓ Yes Use 2ml pods

Not sure which XROS model you have? The resistance guide below works across all of them — the right ohm choice depends on how you vape, not which XROS model you own.

Which Resistance Should You Choose? — The Honest Guide

This is the question every XROS owner searches and rarely gets a straight answer to. Here is what each resistance actually feels like, who it's for, and which e-liquid to pair with it.

0.4Ω — 3ml — Restricted Direct Lung (RDL)

The loosest, most open draw in the XROS range. You inhale directly into your lungs rather than holding the vapour in your mouth first — similar to a sub-ohm mod, but more restricted and controlled. Produces the most vapour of any XROS pod. Runs warmer than higher resistance options. Best for cloud production and an intense flavour hit on every draw. Burns through e-liquid faster than higher ohm options.

Use with: Freebase nicotine 3–6mg, or nic salts 10–20mg maximum. At 50mg nic salt, a 0.4Ω pod will deliver too much nicotine per puff — you will feel it immediately. Avoid high-strength salts in this pod.

Who it's for: Vapers who want the most vapour from a pod kit, or who've switched from a sub-ohm mod and want to step down gradually.

0.6Ω — 2ml / 3ml — Loose MTL

The balance point. Not quite direct lung, not quite tight MTL — a loose, airy mouth-to-lung draw with good vapour production and strong flavour accuracy. Works well with both freebase nicotine and low-to-mid strength nic salts. Flavour is noticeably richer than the 0.4Ω because the coil runs slightly cooler, preserving more of the e-liquid's flavour profile.

Use with: Freebase 6–12mg, or nic salts 20–35mg. Pairs well with any flavour type. If you use Nasty Salt Nic Juice at 35mg, the 0.6Ω is your pod.

Who it's for: Most vapers who aren't sure what they want — the 0.6Ω is rarely the wrong choice.

0.8Ω — 2ml / 3ml — Classic MTL

The most popular XROS pod in South Africa. A proper mouth-to-lung draw — pull vapour into your mouth, hold briefly, then inhale — with the vapour temperature and throat hit that most former cigarette smokers find most familiar and satisfying. Flavour is exceptionally accurate at 0.8Ω because the COREX mesh heats evenly without overheating. Most moderate vapers get 2–3 weeks per pod at this resistance.

Use with: Nic salts 20–50mg. At 50mg, the 0.8Ω delivers a strong, satisfying throat hit without harshness. Nasty Salt Nic Juice at 50mg paired with the 0.8Ω pod is the most popular combination among Coffee & Vape's regular customers.

Who it's for: Ex-smokers, daily nic salt vapers, anyone who wants a cigarette-style draw with maximum flavour.

1.0Ω — 2ml — Tight MTL

A step tighter than the 0.8Ω. Produces less vapour but concentrates flavour intensely into every puff. Runs cooler, making it ideal for vapers who find the 0.8Ω slightly too warm. Pod lifespan is longer at 1.0Ω than at lower resistances because less wattage is consumed per puff.

Use with: Nic salts 35–50mg. The tight draw and cool vapour work best with high-strength nic salts. If you're on 50mg and find the 0.8Ω too warm, the 1.0Ω is the right move.

Who it's for: Stealth vapers, vapers who prefer minimal cloud, heavy smokers who need high nicotine with a tight draw.

1.2Ω — 2ml — Very Tight MTL

The tightest draw in the XROS range — the closest a pod kit gets to the feel of an actual cigarette. Minimal vapour, intensely concentrated flavour, very cool vapour temperature. Excellent for stealth vaping. The 1.2Ω has the longest pod lifespan of any XROS variant because it draws the least wattage per puff. If you're switching from cigarettes and want the most physically familiar experience, start here.

Use with: Nic salts 40–50mg only. Freebase nicotine at this resistance will feel thin and unsatisfying. High-strength nic salts are essential.

Who it's for: New switchers from cigarettes, stealth vapers, anyone who needs 50mg nicotine and a cigarette-tight draw.

2ml vs 3ml — What's the Difference?

Capacity only — nothing else. Both sizes use identical COREX mesh coils and SSS leak-resistant construction. Both deliver the same flavour and vapour performance. The 3ml pod holds 50% more e-liquid, meaning fewer refills per day. Choose 3ml if you vape frequently and dislike stopping to refill. Choose 2ml if you like switching flavours regularly or prefer a lighter device.

COREX Mesh Coil — What It Actually Does

Every SA retailer lists "COREX technology" as a feature without explaining what it means in practice. Here's the reality:

Standard pod coils heat e-liquid unevenly — hotter in some spots, cooler in others. Uneven heating means inconsistent flavour and faster coil degradation where hot spots burn the cotton. COREX uses a refined mesh structure with smaller, more precisely spaced grid openings paired with nano-microfiber cotton. Every contact point heats evenly from the first puff. Flavour stays consistent from puff one to the last drop. The cotton wicks faster, preventing dry hits when the pod runs low. And because no single spot overheats, the coil lasts approximately 50% longer than Vaporesso's previous generation — this is where the longer lifespan claim comes from, and it holds up in real use.

SSS Leak-Resistant Design — Four Sealing Points

Leaking pods are the most common complaint about refillable systems. Vaporesso's SSS (Seal Seriously Safely) design uses four independent seals: the fill port closes tightly when the cap slides shut; the pod-to-device connection is magnetically sealed preventing liquid from reaching the battery; the coil sits in a silicone gasket preventing airpath flooding; and the PCTG plastic body resists chemical degradation from prolonged e-liquid contact. In practice: fill the pod, put it in your pocket, and forget about it. It won't leak.

How to Fill Your XROS Pod — Step by Step

Step 1: Remove the pod from your device by pulling it straight up from the magnetic connection.

Step 2: Slide the top cap sideways to expose the fill port.

Step 3: Insert your e-liquid bottle nozzle and fill to the max line. Do not overfill — e-liquid above the max line enters the airpath and causes gurgling.

Step 4: Slide the cap firmly shut. Wipe any e-liquid off the pod exterior.

Step 5: Wait 5 minutes before vaping. This is not optional — the COREX nano-microfiber cotton needs time to fully saturate. Vaping immediately on a new fill can char the cotton and permanently damage the coil. Five minutes prevents this entirely.

Step 6: Reinsert the pod and vape.

When to Replace Your XROS Pod

XROS pods are refillable — you fill the same pod multiple times until performance drops. With COREX coils, most moderate vapers get 2–3 weeks per pod. Heavy vapers get 1–2 weeks. Light vapers can sometimes reach 3–4 weeks. Replace the pod when you notice: a burnt or harsh taste that wasn't there before; noticeably thinner flavour despite a full pod; persistent gurgling that doesn't clear; or a harsh throat hit that feels different from your normal experience.

High-sweetener e-liquids — most candy and dessert flavours — degrade pods faster than fruit or menthol. If you vape sweet e-liquids exclusively, expect shorter pod lifespans regardless of COREX technology.

E-Liquid Pairing Guide

Pod Resistance Recommended Nic Strength Best Pairing at C&V
0.4Ω Freebase 3–6mg / Salts 10–20mg Low-nic freebase shortfill
0.6Ω Freebase 6–12mg / Salts 20–35mg Nasty Salt Nic 35mg
0.8Ω Salts 20–50mg Nasty Salt Nic 50mg
1.0Ω Salts 35–50mg Nasty Salt Nic 50mg
1.2Ω Salts 40–50mg only Nasty Salt Nic 50mg

The most popular XROS combination at Coffee & Vape: 0.8Ω pod + Nasty Salt Nic Juice 50mg. The MTL draw, consistent COREX flavour delivery, and Nasty's WTF flavour quality at 50mg nicotine is the setup most former smokers find immediately satisfying and keep coming back to.

Frequently Asked Questions — Vaporesso XROS Pods South Africa

How much is one XROS pod?

R75 per pod at Coffee & Vape — one pod per listing. Stock up on multiple resistances and order over R750 to qualify for free shipping nationwide.

Are all XROS pods compatible with all XROS devices?

Yes. Every pod in this listing — all resistances and capacities — is compatible with every XROS device Vaporesso has made: XROS, XROS 2, XROS 3, XROS 3 Mini, XROS 3 Nano, XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, and XROS 4 Nano. Universal compatibility across the entire XROS platform is one of the system's strongest advantages.

Which ohm is best for Nasty Salt Nic Juice?

For Nasty Salt Nic at 50mg: the 0.8Ω — classic MTL draw, strong throat hit, excellent flavour. For 35mg: the 0.6Ω gives a slightly looser draw with the same flavour quality. Avoid using 50mg nic salts in the 0.4Ω — too strong per puff.

Can I use freebase nicotine in XROS pods?

Yes, in the right resistance. Use freebase in the 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω — these run at wattages high enough to vaporise freebase properly. In 0.8Ω and above, freebase feels thin and unsatisfying. The 1.2Ω with freebase is not recommended.

How do I prime a new XROS pod?

Fill completely, close the fill port, wait 5 minutes minimum before your first puff. The COREX nano-microfiber cotton needs this time to fully absorb e-liquid. Vaping immediately on a new pod causes a dry hit and permanently chars the cotton. Five minutes of patience per pod saves you R75.

Why is my XROS pod gurgling?

Almost always overfilling. Fill only to the max line — liquid above it enters the airpath and gets inhaled as droplets. Fix by removing the pod, holding it mouthpiece-down over tissue for 30 seconds, reinserting, and taking 2–3 dry pulls without firing to clear the airpath. Persistent gurgling on an older pod means it's time to replace it.

Do you ship XROS pods nationwide?

Yes — from Bloemfontein to all SA cities and towns. Orders before 2PM on weekdays dispatch same day. Free shipping on orders over R750. Order multiple pods or combine with e-liquid to reach the free shipping threshold.
